    1. But we all know that all of the other idiots out there on the track will determine who wins or not by their wreckfests. Gotta survive them first to have any chance at a win.

  3. NASCAR Cup: practice penalties from Charlotte held over to Talladega
    By AMANDA VINCENT

Nineteen of the 40 teams that participated in the Bank of America 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., on Oct. 8 were supposed to be docked time in final practice the previous day because of inspection issues the previous race weekend at Dover (Del.) International Speedway or in pre-qualifying inspection at Charlotte. But rain forced cancellation of that practice session. As a result, those penalties will be served during the upcoming Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway race weekend that will culminate in Sunday’s running of the Alabama 500.

Below, is a list of teams that will serve Charlotte penalties at Talladega:

docked 30 minutes of practice time
No. 1 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet team of Jamie McMurray
No. 5, No. 24 and No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet teams of Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford team of Trevor Bayne
No. 32 Go FAS Racing Ford team of Matt DiBenedetto
No. 77 and No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota teams of Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr.

docked 15 minutes of practice time
No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet team of Austin Dillon
No. 4, No. 10 and No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford teams of Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick and Clint Bowyer
No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford team of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
No. 18 and No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota teams of Kyle Busch and Daniel Suarez
No. 55 Premium Motorsports Toyota team of Gray Gaulding
No. 37 JTG-Daugherty Racing Chevrolet team of Chris Buescher
No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team of Jimmie Johnson
No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Chevrolet team of Michael McDowell.

Which practice is this penalty enforced ?

  4. Good Evening All….Does anyone know if Dale Jr has any practice penalty time to kill off this weekend from previous races? If we are gonna win one before Dale Jr retires this is our best shot so hopefully everything goes well all week at the shop and all weekend at the track.

    1. UMM….. 88 was last out of inspection for Qualifying at CMS. Junior left the inspection booth, drove onto the track for 1st Round with less than 5 minutes on the clock… and that was their third time through…. Im guessing they do have but don’t know that …

    2. He was supposed to lose 30 minutes at last week’s final practice but it was rained out….don’t know if it will carry over.

      1. I think so too and Amy is not a fan…. But too, he owes nothing for what he has contributed to NASCAR and Racing World Wide. I’m happy for him if this is where he wants to go and look forward to JRM as a power house in Xfinity….
But I have to say, Id rather have seen Jr walk away back in January than to go through this year in this way. Guess those contract paybacks were huge for both ….

Shame. Just don’t ever want to see another Muhammad Ali…. my biggest fear …

  5. so what do you think about compettitors claiming nascar car let jimmy cheat last week , when the team told him to stop moutside of his pit stall to tighten lugnuts , before going back on the track , i thought he would have recieved a drive through penalty ,,,,nascar said it was a good move because of a safty issue , but other teams are saying it wasnt fair , jimmy lost 10 spots to the feild but what do you think cheatting or not …
