    1. The 21 Wood brothers car won’t win another race with Paul Menard behind the wheel for sure.
He only won one race and that was at Indy after the best had already wrecked out.
Blaney is the much more talented and he gets the 12 car?
It goes to show that it’s all over money and the Wood Bros. are in need of cash to stay open.
But wow, what a shot to their dignity this is? To get a RCR reject to replace a better driver only because his daddy has money to buy him the ride?

        1. Strange, I understand that but I see Dale Jr’s long term broadcast career more closely associated with the Red Skins than NASCAR… Weird ain’t it ???

    1. Sometimes I get the feeling Greg Ives is following orders ” Do not put Dale Jr in harm’s-way
(contention) “.. per Mr H.. Same dog – different Feas meaning DNF’s are the game plan for 2017. I still feel we don’t know all we think we know about Junior’s mental health … Sorry if I disagree with most of Jr Nation but when I think about Ali and what he went through in the autumn years of his life all I feel for Dale Jr is compassion… I has every right to live the balance of his life by his definition….. not ours ..

        1. True Steven, but Greg can only do so much.. racing is dangerous.. Junior, like senior, has never been good at qualifying. I don’t expect to see the 88 finish a race this year…

IMO, Junior is fulfilling contract obligations, not racing… If it were not for sponsor contracts, he would have never returned to the track ….but that’s just me
